Sean | Uploaded - 17 Nov 2001 04:28 just found your web page after days of trawling around looking for script templates I actually found it by accident by typing 'word template' into the address bar instead of the search box and MSN redirected me, and had you second in the list. (Always nice to know how people heard of you) Anyway I am very pleased and impressed with your success payment scheme. Nice One! As I want to remain fair what constitutes success. I mean I write scripts for community video productions and sometimes get paid small amounts like £1000 for the whole production i.e producing it as well as writing what ever it is this is success but I am hardly making loads of cash in fact its just a living or do you just want to know if I get a big success like a TV prog or say an arts funded short film with a budget of £10,000 ish this is the other type of stuff I do and what should I pay please help me here as I agree to send you some financial aknowledgemetn of your help, but as I have never done this before I am unsure about levels of equity??? sorry to ramble its late! cheers Sean

Bill Williams | Uploaded - 17 Nov 2001 04:31 Hi, My licence fee of say £50 is based on an assumption of an author clearing around £2000+ personal profit for writing a script. I hadn't thought of the case where the author is also the producer. I would be happy with small staged payments, when ever you feel that this tool has helped you make some profit, until you reach the £50 figure. Regards |
Sean | Uploaded - 17 Nov 2001 04:33 Thanks Bill I will probably use use your program to provide me with a first draft script but all that colour doesn't go down well with studios or funding bodies, so I will have to do a bit of reformating. I have asked around a bit over the past week and everyone says no colour, no italics, only courier font (I can only find courier new). I'll attch a web page I got recomended to look at to find the most acceptable format by Film First and The Film Council. Thanks for your assistance and should I be successful I will forward you a cheque anyway!! I hope the info is helpful Cheers Sean PS do you know about the other script format prog that is on the web Revised by - Bill Williams on 17 Nov 2001 at 04:39:55 |
Bill Williams | Uploaded - 17 Nov 2001 04:37 It was never intended that you PRINT in colours. You should select "print in Black/White" in your printer driver. Or failing that just before printing, select the whole script and then select Black colour for text. The template you need to use, judging by your remarks is the Film template. It is in courier & laid out in the way the film producers like it. Read the TIPSHEET included in the download or the examples download. Bill |
