Mike Day	Uploaded - 4 Jun 2012 23:09 hi bill, when i am browsing topics on the site i see the odd word highligted and if i click on it i am taken to a dodgy website.i suspect it is caused by a trojan,virtumonde but i can't find out how to remove it.i have downloaded a trial version of emsisoft but,while it has found a couple of other nasties,it hasn't recognised virtumonde. i know that you are always very busy but do you have any suggestions,please? mike day(T) Bill.

I did a Google search for Virtumonde, If you try, the virus may intercept the links, I found lots of information, but the most useful might be: http://www.microsoft.com/security/portal/Threat/Encyclopedia/Entry.aspx?name=Win32%2fVirtumonde Don't just try clicking this link in this posting because the virus might have altered the destination, instead copy the line and paste it into the address bar. The last paragraph on that web page says: quote: Recovery Manual removal is not recommended for this threat. Use the Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool, Microsoft Security Essentials, Microsoft Safety Scanner, or another up-to-date scanning and removal tool to detect and remove this threat and other unwanted software from your computer.
